Dolly's Day
Never use MY fabric scissors!
A very funny facebook post we shared that has you rolling around in laughter! Exactly the sewing banter and hilarity you'd expect from Dolly and Sheryl!
Building Dolly's TV Studio!
Hi all! One of the things I really wanted to do with Dolly Pattern was offer comprehensive tutorials and support for all our products. I thought we'd do a series of how-to videos until I realised I had no where to film them! We're in the middle of a re-model of our home. It basically looks like a building site - not the best backdrop for a serious professional sewist or craft vlogger! As chance would have it, my folks were getting rid of 2 double kitchen cabinet carcasses and an MDF worktop that had been cut to fit...
The Perfect Princess Project
I'm often asked what my design process is when I come up with a new costume for Dolly or Doug. I always feel that design is often a confusing process and that the best approach is a personal one! Skin Tone 1, 6 & 5: Will all suit Gold, Brown or Black hair Skin Tone 2 & 3: Would be most successful with Brown or Black hair Top tips: Look to nature...
A Hallowe'en Spook-tacular!
The first Special Edition Collection has been launched! I'm so excited for this Hallowe'en collection of rag doll patterns. My personal favourite is Frankendoug! Frankendoug see's our Douggy get a totally new head shape and hairline to play the role of a not-so-scary Frankenstein's monster - but he's TOO CUTE! Extra fun details like the silver domed buttons on shanks as his neck bolts make us very happy crafters indeed! After a very warm welcome, Doug, our boy rag doll is here to stay. He's going to keep Dolly company and I'm sure they'll get up to a lot of...
