Flamingo Dress Pattern
A beautiful sewing pattern to make your totally tropical Flamingo Dress for Dolly!
A fun halter neck dress serves as the flamingo's long neck and fastens using a button and a contrast button hole. This adds super cute detail in the form of the flamingo's eye and a clever way to secure her gown.
The dress is made with a full circle skirt, layers of tulle and net. An asymmetric back and wrap style bodice panel under the beak complete the outfit. Make the panel under the beak in skin toned fabric to give the illusion of being invisible.
Felt feathers are chain stitched for embellishment and stitched to the bodice for delicate detail and lots of detail. Sequins are added to the net skirts for interest and sparkle to mimic water droplets. Just Beautiful!
This pattern is rated 'easy' and includes gathers, rolled hems, bias binding and a buttonhole so there is lots to keep you entertained.
